Dorell Expeditions started during Summer 2001, when we travelled with children from Dubai to Spain for a 2 week Intensive Tennis programme at The Olympic Training Centre in Barcelona. The facilities at the complex were amazing, we socialized and dined with all the spanish and international professional athletes during our stay there. We explored the city and had a fantastic time all together.
In 2002 we organized a Tour to "Simon Tennis Camps" in Holland for 10 Days. This was more like a Tennis and Fun Camp with lots of other activities next to just Tennis training. Like Sailing, Windsurfing, Horse riding, Mountain Biking, Water bikes, Survival runs and lots more. A total of 16 children from Dubai participated in this Camp. We spent time in the city, shopped at the traditional markets and went to the Cinema. We had to bike to the tennis courts every single day......as you do in Holland.
During the summer of 2003 we travelled to the USA, Saddlebrook Resort. The famaous Harry Hopman Tennis Academy in Florida. 10 days of Full time tennis training and a well organized activity programme. Great facilities and fantastic lodging. The coaches were professional and friendly with group ratio 1:4 only. We saw Capriati, Hingis and Blake training over there. We also visited some famous atraction & water parks, next to the cinema and the Go-kart track. Howard Moore, the program Director took great care of us.
We travelled to Spain in 2004; The Sanchez-Casal Tennis Academy in Barcelona. Beautifull location and professionals like Kuznetsova train there with lots of other very talented kids. The Tennis programme was very intensive and well organized. Emilio Sanchez and Sergio casal are there every day, training with kids of all levels and managing the best Tennis Academy in Europe. We went to the beach, visited a Fun park, watch movies and relaxed at the pool.
